• We don't refer to those who buy from us as customers, but we refer to them as friends.  The reason being is that people see how much care and effort we put into making our products as safe and natural as possible, that they grow to become friends who not only put trust in our products, but they put their trust in us too and we have actually developed some awesome friendships from those who use our products regularly.
  • We live on a small acreage in an area called "Sunnyside" (which is where we coined our name from) and Sunnyside is located in the RM of Springfield, just outside of Winnipeg, in Manitoba Canada.
  • If you have looked at our website you will see that we keep bees, and I use their wax and honey in as many products as I can. They are very pampered bees, yes you can pamper bees, and we pamper them by ensuring that the flowers and blooms grown on our property are not sprayed with any chemicals and we let them grow wild and naturally, using rain and spring water as well as home-produced compost and locally sourced natural horse and chicken manure.
  • We grow our own red and white clover (making dye from the purple petals), we grow dandelions (OK so we don't exactly grow them, they just appear, but we use them in our dandelion root coffee and I make yellow dye from their petals too), we have many sea buckthorn bushes continually growing and repopulating on our property and I add their puree and dried berries to our soaps, and I grow organic catnip that I use in our soaps, lotions, and teas (that is if our cats Mr. Binkers and Booker don't get to it first).
  • I also have a herb garden where I grow rosemary, oregano and sage and will be using them in my soaps and lotions this year too and so watch this space for more products to be added to our line, or for improvements being made to our existing creations.

Sorry about the big long complicated names but Health Canada insists that we use the INCI names as well as the generic names and if you need to research any of the ingredients and can't find it then use the generic more common name.

So that is a little bit about us, but I want to share a little bit about our soap base products and when you get to know me better, and you will when you become a regular friend on our website, you will understand that making soap from scratch using lye is not a good combination for me, well not right now anyway, and so that is why I currently use soap bases in my soap bars and foaming hand soaps, BUT, I do source the most organic, natural, fairtrade, ethical and biodegradable products I can find so you are guaranteed of THE best product possible.

As some people, regardless of the health benefits, can have allergies or sensitivities to some products and so below are ingredient lists for the soap bases I currently use and I will update this page regularly with any revisions or additions as needed.

If you have any questions regarding any of my products or ingredients then please do not hesitate to reach out to me karen@cloverhoneypot.com

  • Propylene Glycol, Water (Aqua/Eau), Sorbitol, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Myristate, Glycerin, Sodium Laurate, Triethanolamine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Titanium Dioxide

We try to keep our scents and flavours as natural as possible, using herbs and fruits and berries grown on our completely organic acreage, but being in Manitoba, our season can be short, and so we cannot get the raw ingredients all year round, and some scents and flavours need to be sourced externally.  We choose carefully and want to make your experience as enjoyable and as natural as possible.

When we source our soap scents and flavours we typically use Lorann Oils Bakery Emulsions and NOW Essential Oils and if our soaps and scrubs need a bit of a boost in the colour department, if we have not extracted colours from our fruits, berries and herbs then we will use approved Artminds Soap Colorants.

If you have any allergies or sensitivities then do speak to us before your purchase and if you received your product as a gift, and would like a few more details, then please do reach out to us with your questions as we are more than happy to help.

Lastly, and this is the serious bit, but just want to add some clarity and disclaimer information to the website to ensure that I keep you all safe and healthy.

  • All of our products have been submitted to Health Canada and have their CNF numbers (Cosmetic Notification Form numbers).
  • Our products are classified as cosmetics and "not" natural health products.
  • To be classed as a natural health product, your product must have been classified as a natural health product and your label will state that your product has "therapeutic" benefits.
  • Our products have been developed for specific reasons, such as skin softeners, moisturizers, body scrubs etc. and although there are health benefits from a lot of the natural ingredients that we use in our products, we do not advertise or market our products as therapeutic natural health products. But we will share a lot of information on the benefits of the herbs, fruits, butters, oils and seeds that we use in our products and we don't even have to go there when it comes to mentioning the amazing health and nutritional benefits of honey.
  • I like to experiment with my scrubs, soaps and lotions and I have personally seen some bonus results from using the products for myself and if other's see additional benefits from using our products, then that is totally awesome, and we encourage you to share your experiences with us too, but we are completely transparent on the intended use of our products but are also completely transparent on the fact that we are submitted as a cosmetic and not as a therapeutic natural health product with Health Canada.
  • In the past, I have shared some of the results that "I" have seen from using my own products, which may fall outside of the actual properties of the intended product, but I am very careful to share that these are the results that "I" have seen, and are not necessarily typical and that results will vary from person to person.
    • When I apply my Nature's Radiance lotion to the warm damp skin on my face, I run my hands through my hair afterwards and the lotion seemed to make my curls softer and bouncier when I did this (is that even a word ha ha ha) and so the last time I washed my hair, I used the lotion instead of my usual hair gel and wow it worked as an alternative.
  • We have had some friends and customers share their own testimonials and reviews which we love to read and hear but don't forget, these may fall outside of the intended use of the products so don't be disheartened if you don't see the same results.  We want you to enjoy them for the reason they were intended but if you do see some bonus results, then do let us know.
  • Lastly, if you are sensitive to certain oils, fragrances, butters etc. or are unsure as to whether the product will be right for you, then do reach out to us before you purchase any of our products so that we can ensure that it is suitable for you.
